Spring Forward cardigan

Spring Forward cardigan

Pattern: Spring Forward cardigan from Twists and Turns
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece

Turned out to be a lovely sweater that is way to big for me. It was gifted to a friend and I'll knit it again someday.

Garnet

Garnet

Pattern: Garnet, from a Elsebeth Lavold book, book 2 The Sentimental Journey Collection
Yarn: Cotton Ease (50/50 cotton/acrylic)
Comments: I think the sheen would have been better with a different yarn, but I'm a little leery of cotton these days after the Spring Forward episode. And if I had it to do over, I'd have reshaped the sleeve cap for less poof. I was very pleased that it did not grow at all after being worn all day.

Kauni cardigan

Kauni cardigan

Started: August 2007
Finished: Nov. 2007
Pattern: Kauni cardigan by Ruth Sørensen
Yarn: Kauni Rainbow EQ
Details: I did a garter stitch checkerboard instead of corrugated ribbing, and I used Joan Schroeder's one row button hole which is fantastic. I used less than 3 skeins, but bought a fourth to get the colors I wanted for the button band.
