1. I’m a public library director.
2. I have a BA and MA in history.
3. I really did not enjoy getting my MLS. First time I was ambivalent about school.
4. I have a younger brother who lives in Denver.
5. Kevin and I were friends for a couple years before we got together.
6. My favorite food is the potato in all of its many forms.
7. I watch a lot of TV and DVR has changed my life.
8. I’ve always been a voracious reader.
9. Since I started knitting, the reading has taken a back seat.
10. I read Newsweek cover to cover every week.
11. I read People magazine at lunch on Fridays.
12. Gmail and Bloglines are usually the first and last thing I look at every day.
13. I have a Necky Eliza kayak. It's fuchsia.
14. Kevin and I cross country ski whenever there’s enough snow.
15. I don’t like Daylight Savings Time.
16. I got to ride in a tall sailing ship on Lake Michigan during grad school.
17. I’ve never seen the ocean.
18. I’ve never flown in a jet.
19. I’m very interested in foreign policy.
20. My area of study in history was 20th century diplomacy.
21. I worked in the accounting department of a duck farm for 10 years.
22. I didn’t start college until I was 24.
23. Then I stayed in school for 10 years.
24. Kevin is 9 years older than me.
25. I grew up in a really small town.
26. I have ulcerative colitis.
27. I get migraines.
28. Other than that I’m quite healthy.
29. We always watch the evening news.
30. My parents have both lived out of the country, Mom in Sweden, Dad in Indonesia.
31. I’m a Mennonite.
32. My faith is important to me.
33. I’m socially liberal.
34. I’m a very linear thinker.
35. I’ve never broken a bone.
36. I got my first stitches on my 33rdbirthday, after cutting my finger on a catfood can lid.
37. We have 2 labs, a golden retriever, and 4 cats.
38. I don’t like talking on the phone.
39. I want to finish the TKGA Master Knitter program. I’m almost done with level 1.
40. We want to adopt a daughter.
41. As long as there are people living on $2 a day, I’ll never donate money to a politician. ETA Except for Obama apparently.
42. I have student loans. Lots of them.
43. Sometimes I wish I’d have gone to law school.
44. I think I’d have been a good lawyer.
45. I do freelance book indexing.
46. Some days my job is excruciatingly boring. Most days it’s OK.
47. I didn’t do well on my SATs because I didn’t really get the importance.
48. I did well enough on my GRE to get a fellowship to grad school.
49. I often wonder where I’d be now if I’d have gone to college at 18.
50. I used to love to ride with my dad in a semi (he had a trucking company).
51. That ceased when my little brother came along.
52. That pissed me off.
53. I liked living alone before Kevin came along.
54. My eyesight is terrible.
55. I like to drive.
56. I love to do research although I don’t get to do much anymore.
57. Arrogance makes me furious, especially in a politician.
58. I’m not ashamed to admit that I love heavy metal. To clarify, this means AC/DC, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses, not Megadeath.
59. I also love traditional country music. Rich history.
60. I walk a lot and could not do it without my ipod.
61. Our cottage was built by Kevin’s grandparents.
62. Lake living sucks on summer weekends.

64. My dad raises beef cattle and it’s the only beef we eat.
65. If we win the lottery, I’m going to take classes and knit. And give money away.

85. I loved Cherry Ames books when I was a kid and thought I’d be a nurse or a teacher.

87. I love to play Tetris and Chuzzle.
88. I don’t understand the weeping and gnashing of teeth over gay marriage.
89. I wish I had a sister. (In addition to my brother, not instead of.)
90. I have done cartwheels in my library.
91. I freaked out a little when I turned 30. I’m pretty sure 40 will be similar. ETA: 40 actually did not freak me out.
92. High school aptitude tests told me I should be a mechanic.
93. I can sing the 50 states in alphabetical order.
94. I’m frugal until it comes to knitting stuff.
95. Queen Anne is my favorite architectural style.
