Knitting Productivity
19 Feb
Sorry for the long blog delay. Fall was super busy with indexing.
I worked a lot on finishing the front of Irish Moss. It looks fabulous. Unfortunately I never went up to the proper needle size after knitting the ribbing. I can write about it calmly now, but I wasn't so calm when I realized it. So Irish Moss is in a time out while I decide whether to frog it or lose 20 lbs.
So then I needed a quick win to re-establish my knitterly mojo. Hence, ChicKnits Mondo Cable Pulli. Knit it up in a week.
We've had a little warm spell so I haven't had a chance to wear it yet. Hopefully next week. Details on Ravelry.
Next up is another ChicKnits pattern, Cassidy. Very enjoyable knit. Just enough cabling to keep it from being stockinette.
It's Cascade 220 in a really pretty colorway. Blue with some purple and teal mixed in.

Wow! The Mondo Cable looks fantastic and such a pretty color. I have read on the thread on Ravelry for that pattern that some had problems but I guess you just whipped through it. I should start one but into socks right now. I will be off to St. Louis to see how Dad is doing post stroke so I hope to get plenty of knitting time in, just need to gather everything that I think I may want to work on and then hope there is room for my clothes and other essential things. Keep us posted on the Cassidy as that is also in my pattern library. I do like ChicKnits. Glad you are feeling better and hope you continue to recover nicely with the knitterly bug in full swing.
Bad Irish Moss. It is cute though. The pullover and Cassidy look really good!
Glad you’re back, all recovered….the surgery went well and the recovery time was nicely spent! How’s the indexing business coming along?
That Mondo Cable looks great- you did get that knit up quickly. Bet it looks great on your new, improved bod!
Wow, you got some awesome knitting done during your recovery. I’m glad the surgery went so well. And just think, you’ll look and feel even more fabulous in your lovely hand-knit sweaters now!!
Glad your surgery went well and your recovery was enjoyable knitting! Lovely sweater, its one of those perfect wardrobe knits.
Glad that your surgery went well and you are so much happier with your body. I bet you’re even more excited now to knit sweaters and work with the new measurements.
I’m sorry about Irish Moss, but your other two sweaters look awesome!
Sonya- Glad you have everything behind you, and got alot of knitting done. Almost makes having the surgery worthwhile.
I’m happy for you.
Yay for smaller boobs!
I can completely sympathise with the time out you’ve imposed on Irish Moss. I messed up a cable on Fulmar, had to rip back 30 or so rows, and nearly threw up.
