So here we are, 8 months later

20 Nov

The last several months have been filled with indexing work at a pace that I’ve decided (finally) that I can’t keep up.  I’ve had no time for knitting, spinning, photography, reading, kayaking, or just sitting by the lake and staring at the water.   Honestly the lake could have completely dried up and I wouldn’t have noticed.  Oh, and there’s that whole running a library job thing too.  So I’m going to take indexing jobs, but not so many that they overlap and I start to get that stress gnawing on the back of my neck feeling.

So here we go!  Let’s get caught up.

I knit another February Lady sweater.  I did one a few years ago in a green heathered wool, but it was enormous.  But it’s such a great sweater, I had to try again.  I knit in Kraemer Yarns Tatamy Tweed DK, a cotton/acrylic blend.  Just right for spring and early fall (and summer if your working air conditioning is anything like mine).

I knitting some shawls.

And I have 2 sweaters that just await blocking and seaming.

At the moment I’m working on a rainbow Hue Shift afghan from KnitPicks for Kevin.  He’s going through some health stuff so he needs an afghan.  It’s acrylic, but I’m enjoying the garter stitch.

The first square is done and I’m about nearly done with the second.  Four squares of 5×5 blocks, then a border.

As soon as I’m done with that I’m casting on for Bray and I want to knit a Custom Fit sweater too. I want to knit all the things!

Hey Sonya- Good to see you. Your sweater looks great on you. Especially with your new figure.

I hope Kevin feels better soon.
